I grew up around here and at that time there was pier here that was perfectly intact. It was built by the British in 1871, and now this is all that remains.
It's amazing being on top of the Nilgiri mountains watching the fog roll in as the sun sets. And then you see the reverse process when the sun rises.
The early morning sun heats up the fog as it rises from the valley. It'll all be clear in an hour or so.
